| (Denver, CO) Knowing that approximately 80% of children, ages 10-15 that are obese as children will remain obese at age 25, Every1Fit, an executive health performance center, based in Denver, invites children to do their part to help curb the spiraling incidence of childhood obesity. Every1Fit announces the formation of Go Healthy Pals!, a national program with a goal of financially supporting the efforts of youngsters in their communities to directly promote health and wellness projects and activities amongst their peers. Projects aimed at reducing and preventing childhood obesity and developed by children ages 9-14 can be submitted for funding through a national micro-grant awards program. |
| “The Go Healthy Pals program, uniquely kid driven and designed, is a logical beneficiary of the Best of the Boardrooms 5K events and the 2010 America’s Healthiest Executive Awards program,” notes Dr. Andrea Wieland, CEO of The Every1Fit. “We anticipate some very creative kids, submitting very worthwhile projects for funding.” Go Healthy Pals will announce the first round of micro-grants at the second annual Best of the Boardrooms Run/Walk/Roll 5K race on Thursday, October 15, 2009 at Cherry Creek State Park in Aurora, Colorado. A Virtual 5K Run/Walk/Roll is being kicked off August 1st and is open to any age runners, walkers, and wheelchair users anywhere, anytime, through October 14th.
